In today's teacher evaluation systems administration is asking for us to give students the opportunity to take ownership of their own learning.
Here is a set of very simple posters to display on a bulletin board or wall to allow students to give a quick check of how their learning is progressing.
In my classroom they are hung on my cabinets where they can be easily seen. I left the posters on white cardstock because it pops in my grey/beige room. I will ask students for a "quick check" and they will show me a 4, 3, 2, or 1 on their fingers. This lets me circulate to students who are struggling or differentiate for students who are mastering their material.
