Quick Flips Odd and Even Numbers Cards are the perfect way for students to practice odd and even numbers in two ways: determine whether a group of objects has an odd or even number of members; use an equation to express an even number as a sum of two equal addends. Use this Common Core aligned set of 20 cards as math centers, small group intervention, or work for early finishers.
For individual practice: Place the cards on a binder ring in number order with the question card first and the answer card directly behind it. Students can work independently and get immediate feedback on their answers.
For partner practice: Place the question cards on a binder ring in number order and the answer cards on a separate binder ring in number order. One person can answer the questions while the other checks for accuracy; then switch roles and repeat.
For assessment: Give the student the question cards on a binder ring in number order. The teacher uses the Common Core Assessment Form to record student answers for easy data collection and documentation.
Also included are blank cards for students to create their own problems.
