As teachers, we're always trying to help our students become better readers.
We work so hard with them during guided, independent, or even small group reading.
Here's a quick way to give your student's new goal while you're reading with them! Just peel off the label and go!
This sheet has three different types of labels for FACT AND OPINION:
Work on identifying facts by referencing dates, graphic features, and events.
Work on identifying facts by asking “How can I prove this?” and stating “I can prove it by…”.
Identify opinions by using signal words such as: “always”, “never”, or “all”. Ask yourself “Is this a belief, feeling, or thought?”
