As teachers, we're always trying to help our students become better readers.
We work so hard with them during guided, independent, or even small group reading.
Here's a quick way to give your student's new goal while you're reading with them! Just peel off the label and go!
This sheet has three different types of labels for Reading Comprehension:
I will improve my comprehension by using post-it notes to write down WHO the story is about and WHAT are the characters doing at the end of each chapter.
I will improve my comprehension by using a KWL Chart where I ask myself what I already know (K), what do I want to know (W) and what I learned (L).
I will improve my comprehension by asking myself and answering the 5W’s (Who, what, where, when, why) for each chapter read.
