Description
This fully editable booklet contains important information that general education teachers need to know and to be able to refer to so students with hearing loss can have educational access in their classes. Pages list contacts, who to contact guide, accommodations, amplification, suggestions on what works and a blank page for the teacher to jot notes. This can be completed by a teacher of the deaf/hard of hearing, educational audiologist, speech-language pathologist or a parent and reviewed with teachers at the beginning of the school year. It can also be completed by the student with hearing loss as a way for the student to learn information to self-advocate. A copy can be kept in the student's digital file to print whenever necessary. This Quick Guide is handy for new teachers of the deaf/hard of hearing to instantly see what information to include in beginning of the year in-services. It works for students with IEPs, 504 Plans or as a parent communication tool.
