This is an activity to use on Monday Mornings to promote happy thoughts in the classroom, especially for those with behavioral/emotional needs.
Read more about it in my blog post here:
This activity is fun, quick, and easy! Just print out the single page, make copies, and then cut in half. Model for the kids how to think of three things that either make you happy about, things that you love, or something to look forward to, etc. Then model writing about one thing that makes you upset.
After a few minutes of letting students write their thoughts, I give them the choice to share or not (it's a small group, so it doesn't take much time), but I do read them either way. If a student gets upset throughout the week, I can remind them of their pick-me-uppers to try to cheer them up.
I hope you are able to use this freebie in your classroom! Please remember to come back and rate this product if you find it useful! Thanks,
