Quick Quizzes for Place Value Assessment of Fifth grade skills
Quick Quiz – Place Value Skills includes ten short quizzes used to assess the skills needed to be efficient with fifth grade place value.
The quizzes are short with five or six questions. They are designed to break apart the place value skills and assess one needed skill in each quiz.
The quizzes are in easy to score forms including matching and true/false.
Each of the ten quizzes can be used as a paper and pencil assessment and are quick and easy to score.
Most of the quiz formats will also work under a document camera, and could be used as a true/false, thumbs up/thumbs down, or fact/fib format…making them less formal and paper free alternative..
Question formats on individual quizzes includes:

Assessment is over the place values from hundred thousands to the thousandths place.
Some quizzes include decimals while other quizzes have no decimals.
This is a great way to test individual skills that build to the place value expectations for fifth graders.
Five pages of quizzes include two quizzes per page for ten total quizzes. Matching pages with answer key are also provided.
I use these short quizzes the day after a small skill has been taught. The assessments give information that will assist a teacher in knowing when to move forward with skills and helps to set up small groups for review.
