Examples of Quotes -

“When you work with people whom you like and you admire because they’re so good at what they do, it doesn’t feel like work. It’s like you’re playing.”

“Every day, there’s a new development. … There’s no limit to the things that are happening.”

This activity is great for individual comprehension or group work. To guide your students, instruct them to:

1. Read the quote
2. Try to understand what the person is trying to say
3. Write down what you think the meaning is or why it's important

*Extended method for further learning*
-Consider having students do it in groups. They may discuss among themselves before they write their paragraphs and their own thoughts down.
-After everyone has written and completed their worksheet, have volunteers share the quote they were given and explain how they interpreted it.

Enjoy! - Alvin
