Try these 3 easy ways to play, or make up your own game!
**Activity 1: Last One Standing
In “most original answer”-style play, select 10 letter cards and 10 category cards. Can be played as whole class or small groups 6-10. Each student writes an answer that they hope no one else thinks of. At the end of the 10 rounds, students stand if they have an answer for each round. Any student that has the same answer, raises their hand, and all students with that answer sit. Students circle any answers that were not duplicated. Student with most original answers wins.
**Activity 2: The Most Answers
In “scattergory”-style play, select 10 letter cards and 10 category cards. Can be played as whole class or small groups in 5-10 rounds. Fill in as many of the categories as you can with relevant words that start with the chosen letter. 1 point is awarded for each correct word while 2 points is awarded for the use of an original word that no one else in the class uses. Add up your scores and calculate your total.
**Activity 3: Class Challenge
Divide class into 2-4 teams. Members of each team take turns giving an answer for each letter and category card answer correct. Teams can answer the same or be given different cards. Award a point for each team’s correct answer.
