This game contains 32 game cards and one sheet for you to create your own (if needed). I have my students do each quick write in their writing folder, but they could also do this on loose leaf paper. I do this activity at the beginning of the year, so that my students will understand quick writes. The students stand in front of their desks, and each desk has a game card on it. When the game begins, the students answer the prompt. Make sure they write down the number that is on the card. After a short time, I say, “Scoot.” The students rotate one desk to their right and begin the next quick write. We do this until time is up or when all cards have been completed.
You could also use these as task cards or daily writing prompts.
