This is a quiz I used after students worked with the vocab foldable flashcards and other properties in Algebra. There's 26 questions total in various formats- not the usual multiple choice.
The first page requires students to match their 9 vocab words to the example problems in a format they have already been exposed to. Then students match the 3rd column definitions to the words they have selected. This is addressing an issue in my class of students using their notes to help them. They are the exact same student friendly definitions as the vocab flashcards are.
There's two problems to demonstrate simplifying/combining like terms and two demonstrating distributing.
The back side matches a previous lesson to address similar problems that can be solved the same way.
Students demonstrate their ability to solve 4 one step equations and two 2 step equations.
Lastly students evaluate 3 problems.
