Product Description
This is a 15-questions multiple-choice quiz over Dylan Thomas's poem, "Do Not Go Gentle Into That Good Night," meant for high school students, especially those preparing for end of course style exam situations. It covers simile, metaphor, paradox, rhyme scheme, theme, connotation, denotation, diction, irony, figurative language, personification, author, perspective, point of view, shift, transition, tone, setting, refrain, idiom, and also includes a photograph, art for a visual component connected to the poem. Bonus: answers are in bold in a Word document that has the same font size, spacing as close as possible to the Texas STAAR EOC exam for English I and II and III. Also, there is an open-ended bonus question regarding the theme of the poem. These are high-level questions, often teaching students to choose abstract answers vs. concrete ones. Teachers must only provide the text to the poem, with numbered lines.
