Product Description
12 question multiple choice quiz over Order of Operations in Multi-Step Algebraic Equations & Rational #'s. 8-Step and State Standards aligned 12 question assessment to provide feedback on how well a student understands a math concept. Answer Key is provided. All of my Unit Assessments are also aligned in a logical order and closely fit with Acuity windows (if you take Acuity that is).
Unit 1 Assessment covers 6 standards (* by the standard # is for IN teachers to have a reference): *8.3.4 Use correct order of operations in algebraic expressions involving powers, *8.2.1 +, -, *, / rational #'s in multi-step problems, *8.1.2/8.1.3 Know the differences between rational/irrational numbers, *8.2.3/8.2.4 Use estimation techniques to decide whether answers are reasonable.
Due to the new CC or other versions of CC across the country our students need to be able to understand and explain how they got their answer and prove it so. This assessment can still be used no matter what CC becomes, because the content of what a student needs to know hasn't changed. There is plenty of room for students to show their work and to explain their answers.
You can use this as a Pre-Assessment as well.
**I selected a wider range of grade levels because as we know students take Pre-Algebra as early as 6th grade and some students take it in 9th grade and anywhere in between :-)
