This quiz game provides a fun way of developing talking and listening skills, as
well as gaining general knowledge.
The first way takes an hour or more. No printing necessary! Organize the class into teams and develop a quiz game where students take turns at the front of the class to represent their team. The remaining students enjoy watching the show as an audience. Ask the players to make a sound with bells or buzzers, or to simply put their hand up when they are ready to answer a question. Ask them to wait until you call their name before answering to avoid confusion. Record the team’s scores on the board. These questions can also be used with quiz buzzers.
The second way to use these questions is as a lesson break. Give each student a recording sheet and call 10, 20 or 40 questions over the class. Give students time to write their answer before having students mark their own answers to find their score. This is a fun way to fill in a few minutes.
So much fun, even for the teacher!
