I created this game to use in my class as a quick review of numbers to 20. To prepare the game, print the cards, laminate and cut them apart. Next, glue the cards back to back with the ten frame and number matching. (So, the number 1 will be attached back to back with the 1 ten frame) I glue my cards to a popsicle stick. The cards end up on a popsicle stick glued back to back!
Students each get a popsicle stick. The students hold the cards so that the ten frame faces out. They find a partner, they each identify or count the ten frame and give the answer. (The numbers on the back face the person who is holding the stick is just so they know the correct answer!) After each student announces the number, they tap cards, raise their hand and switch partners! This requires much modeling and practice but the students will master the process and have a blast playing and reviewing!
