The format of this community builder works as an ice-breaker or as a way to review content such as vocabulary terms. Each student gets a card with a question on the front and the answer on the back. Students hold a hand in the air to indicate their availability and team up as they move around the room. Each student introduces him/herself and asks the other their question. After they have each asked and answered each other's question, the students trade cards, put their hand up and search for another partner. By doing this, students meet one another and keep getting new terms to share. It's a great way to review.
Here is a quiz-quiz-trade on movies. I use this as an ice-breaker to get students to meet one another before a collaborative assignment. It makes the students more comfortable talking to one another.
Cut out the blocks and paste them to index cards.
