THIS PRODUCT HAS BEEN MOVED TO THE TPT STORE, "BrainCandy-StudyGuide" as one of the supporting files for the flagship study guide.
This product helps teachers fight for improving content or improving legibility while not losing step with curricula needs. Teachers of teens are appalled at the penmanship of students since objective testing pushed penmanship practice out of the sphere of "necessary" skills. After all, aren't we all going to just use technology for the rest of our lives?
Again, this product has been moved to BrainCandy-StudyGuide and is part of a multiple product bundle. Check there first so that you do not duplicate your purchase.
Since we do not seem to have time to teach it, or reinforce the efforts of teachers who HAVE taught it, this file is designed to INCORPORATE quotable quotes, advice, tips, and topics pertinent to teens while offering relevant curriculum topics to explore!
ALL WHILE IMPROVING LEGIBILITY
I have searched and searched for the best fonts to use, and to see to it that they are available to everyone so that not only can teachers access the selected fonts for this file but that they can use those fonts on their own lessons to keep the momentum going. The pages will be visible as "modeled" if you download the font called (appropriately enough) Learning Curve, and it will be visible as manuscript if you download the fonts named Penmanship Print (complete with guidelines), Print Clearly (in a traceable font), and Primer Print (which when printed in gray scale is also traceable); all are free downloads to teachers, found at https://www.lifewire.com/free-handwriting-fonts-for-teachers-1077845. The goal of this product is to enhance the penmanship of teens while enriching their life skills, analysis skills, and writing skills as well. Most teens SHOULD be writing approximately the size of a 14-16 point print font (16-18 in cursive fonts), so these pages offer a bit of each print and cursive, and at sizes appropriate to their need.
This 20 page Word Doc is great for homework, for use in Literacy Centers\ independent stations work, a class-wide mini lesson (for an example, practice with writing responses or summaries, or analyzing), homework, substitute fill in lessons and more!
Offers a balanced approach to literacy, both offering analysis and asking students to write, enhances close reading skills through modeling, and improves response writing skills.
Pictured are the first pages OF AN ENTIRE WORKBOOK. The workbook SUPPORTS the UESGBC (Ultimate English BRAIN CANDY Study Guide). Over 100 concepts in English are incorporated into this one page, 5 double sided paneled STUDY GUIDE for teens. For more files like this, explore Kathy's Legacy. For the UESG BRAIN CANDY College Bound Study Guide for Teens, and its supporting files, go to the store BrainCandy-StudyGuide here at TpT.
