Want an engaging activity that provides a ton of exposure to Punctuating Dialogue? This Task Card Activity Bundle has it all! Your students will MASTER Punctuating Dialogue while having fun!!! This Punctuating Dialogue Task Card Bundle is an OUT OF THIS WORLD resource!

Why YOU will LOVE this Task Card Bundle

We know that you are a busy teacher! We've got you covered! So, you've taught your students how to use quotation marks and commas when using dialogue, but your students are still not grasping this difficult concept. We've been there! It's frustrating.

The bottom line is that your students need more exposure! They need a chance to recognize the pattern of punctuation when speech tags appear at different points in a sentence.

Best of all, YOU will LOVE this bundle because it requires NO PREP! All you need to do is print the task cards, laminate for durability, run the recording sheets and THAT'S IT!

Have your students use them in centers, a game of scoot, or whole class!

Think your students still need more practice? There are two more activities that require students to reference the task cards again with a different task to complete! This is perfect for small group instruction, intervention groups, early finishers or enrichment!

If that's not enough for you, we have also included an anchor chart that can be placed on your data projector or on your wall for students to reference. There is also a blank anchor chart that students can create for themselves! They will have the opportunity to write, color code, and label the parts!

So... you wanted exposure, more exposure and even some more?

Check, Check, and Check!

Why YOUR STUDENTS will LOVE this Task Card Bundle

Your students will love this task card bundle for a number of reasons! Students love to be out of their seats and working with partners and this is the perfect opportunity for just that! Task cards are so much more fun than a boring old worksheet!

These task cards have a fun and colorful theme that grab students' attention! The recording sheet has a competition between three aliens. The alien that catches the most stars wins! Students even get to color the first, second and third place aliens different colors! We love hearing our students "betting" on the alien that will win! The students are actually looking forward to COMPLETING AN ASSIGNMENT! Not only are they focused on finishing, but they are also determined to get the correct answers because they want to make sure that their alien wins!

In this Activity Bundle...

Students will be exposed to multiple opportunities to critique the punctuation of dialogue. This can be a difficult concept for students, so repeated exposure is key.

This task card bundle starts off by having students focus on the punctuation of dialogue with speech tags at the beginning, in the middle, or at the end of a sentence.

Students focus on one of these at a time on the first 15 task cards.

On the second set of 15 task cards, students look at all three types at the same time.

This bundle is tiered so that students will have success in punctuating dialogue!
