This pack contains 24 task cards that reinforce proper usage of quotation marks in dialogue writing. Students use these task cards to practice quoting a speaker and including varied dialogue tags. These task cards work well as a supplement to your narrative writing lessons, and can be used in centers, small groups, or Daily 5.
This File included:
Pages 1-3: Cover page, Directions, TOU and Credits page.
Pages 4-7: 24 Task Cards - each card contains a speech bubble and the speaker's name. Students practice writing out the speaker's quote with a dialogue tag, inserting quotation marks and correct punctuation where needed.

* Extension activities prompt students to practice writing 4 to 6 lines of dialogue and, also, writing dialogue tags first, and then the speaker's quote.
