Product Description
In this two-day activity, students first present a quote that is important to them. The second day, they randomly receive another student's quote and have two options for a written paragraph response:

1. Argue against the quote.
2. Change one to four key words in the quote to create a new quote with a new meaning, and then argue for it.

This packet includes teacher instructions for the two-day lesson, a student handout, student writing examples for each option, and a scoring guide.

Engaging, unique, and creative!
