Quote of the Week: - "Kids Connecting to Quotes"
This is a pack of 52 quotes, enough for one a week even if you have year round school :-) This pack of quotes is called 'Kids Connecting to Quotes" because that is exactly what the kids do.
Each week the students are presented with a strip (they print 3 to a page for fewer copies) of paper that has a quote. They will then read and think about the quote, inferring meaning. They will then explain what the quote means. You might then want to discuss the meaning as a class before they complete the second section, which is how they can apply the quote to their life.
In addition to the 52 quote strips for the kids, there are 52 posters that can be printed out or just used for display with a projector while discussing. See the sample thumbnail for what the backgrounds look like. They are fun wood grain backgrounds.
This is a very easy to plan higher level thinking activity that will also allow for character building in your classroom.
Please click on the preview above to get a closer look at what is included.
Please note ahead of time that I give one example of a quote strip filled in, but there are no other 'answers' given. Answers will vary to some extent, as students find meaning in the quotes and make their own connections.
**Please, if you see a typo, let me know before you rate it. I will get it corrected for you as soon as possible. It is greatly appreciated.
Thank you :-)
