This reading strategy activity allows students to focus in on specific areas of a text. In the first box, students write down a passage or quote from the text and record the page number where they found it. In the second box, they write down a connection, question, or confusion they have about that passage. General prompts are given to help the students get started. This activity is appropriate for any fiction or non-fiction story, essay, article, etc. in any subject area.
Please see my other items for additional reading strategies.

All of the items I share on TPT are ones I actually use in my middle school classroom. Most have been revised multiple times based on "test runs" with my students. I work hard to make information accessible to students in a fun and simple way while still challenging students to meet and exceed their abilities. Most of my assignments can be used with all ability levels; differentiation comes in my expectations of what individual students or groups can achieve. Many of my activities can be used with individual students or cooperative groups.
