Great targeted practice for R-Blends!
Students write the blend they hear at the beginning of each word. Or, for an additional challenge, students can write down the whole word!
Words included: branch, bread, crab, crown, dragon, drum, fries, frog, grapes, groundhog, present, pretzel, tree, trophy
These cards are great for small group intervention or whole-group practice. They can be printed out and placed around the room as a Write-The-Room activity. Alternatively, they can be used as task cards for centers.
•Staple/tape the cards on the wall around the room
•Students will need a hard surface, recording sheet, and pencil
•Students will walk around the room, writing down words they find in the corresponding box
To use as Task Cards:
•Place the cards in a basket
•Students will need a recording sheet and pencil
•Students will choose a card and write down the word in the corresponding box
* Laminate for durability!
