Articulation R carryover | Speech Therapy | Prosody
This carryover activity contains questions and answers designed to give structured stress and intonation practice while using correct R sounds.
Often when students are learning a new sound it is
natural to put exaggerated stress on the words containing the target sound.
During carryover of target sounds it is important to practice with natural rhythms of speech.
The questions and answers have suggested words to stress underlined.
Ways to use this activity.
1. This activity can be modeled for the student.
2. The student can read or repeat both the question and answer.
3. The therapist can read the question and have the student read the answers.
I like to put this in a page protector and let the student use a dry erase marker to mark off sentences with correct productions.
