I asked myself these questions so many times. I love practicing our new phonics skills in decodable text, I believe it helps secure the skills in my students' toolbox. But, YES, my students need a break sometimes. Learning through games can be very motivating and the success experiences can be very uplifting.

A total of 185 cards
(in this set) will encourage your students to decode words with R-Controlled vowels, including both one syllable and multi-syllable words.
The following Bossy R vowels have been included: ar, or, er, ir, ur
This resource is printer (ink) friendly. Each page contains up to 8 phonetically regular words and a title card that displays the phonics skill. The title cards make for easy identification of the skills, and can assist with your storage/organization of the cards.
