**This resource has been corrected: April 4, 2017. A few of the cards needed changed. It now properly functions! So sorry for this mistake.***
This is a great phonics center for r-controlled vowel words containing -er that works best with at least two students or can be used as a great resource for students to use at home with parents or siblings.
Simply print, laminate, and cut out cards. Shuffle cards and give to students. The person who has the card that says "I have the first card" will read theirs first and students will look at their cards to look for the word that was asked for (in this case, 'fern') and will read the card that says "I have fern.... Who has faster?" Play continues until all cards are read.
It can be turned into a game, if you wish, that the first person who gets rid of all of their cards first is the winner.
It contains a cover page, directions page, and 6 pages of 4 cards each.
