R-Controlled Vowels ar, are, and air Word Work Activities

This packet of word work activities focuses on r-controlled vowel spellings -ar, -are, and -air. I always struggle with fitting in the appropriate amount of word work time into my whole group phonics instruction. I love using these activities in my word work center for group and independent practice. Each week of word work is very similar, so I do not have to teach the activities to my students each time. They already know the routine. It goes great with any reading series, and is a great supplement to your phonics or word work component.

It includes:

-4 word work centers {abc order, rhyming, Bingo, and a word sort}

-3 posters/anchor charts

-word cards for a pocket chart

-letter tiles and word mats for pushing and saying letter sounds

-5 no prep printables {word sort, phoneme fun, read the room, pyramid spelling, and rainbow words}

The activities and printables can be completed at centers or as independent or small group practice.
