Students will complete the task cards on r-controlled vowel pictures by writing the word for each picture. The task cards can be used as a review. Place the task cards in your literacy stations so students can work independently. There are 32 task cards, plus a cover and direction card.
r-controlled vowel pictures include:
r-controlled vowel a: park, jar, yarn, harp, card, cart,
r-controlled vowel e: hammer, ladder, tower, letter, perch,
r-controlled vowel i: shirt, chirp, skirt, twirl, circle, circus,
r-controlled vowel o: storm, torn, short, sword, sports, forty, north, thorn
r-controlled vowel u: fur, curb, burn, curl, nurse, purple, purse
My students enjoy completing task cards and it helps me to identify students that still have difficulty with a skill taught. I have a task card station that each student rotates into every few days. My students also work on task cards if they complete their work early. They love task cards!. I am sure your students will, too.
