Do your kids struggle with decoding words? These real and nonsense sorts will help! In these sorts students will read each word to figure out if it is a real word or a nonsense word. After reading the words students have to use the words in context by using them in a sentence. So not only are they practicing their decoding skills but also their sentence writing, handwriting, capitalization, and punctuation skills.
Not only do you get the printable sorts, but also a google slides version. My students LOVE doing these sorts on the computer! It's like instant engagement. You will be able to download the google slides through the PDF. Just keep the master copy and then make copies and delete the slides you're not working on at that time.
I have also included JPEG images for you to use with online resources such as Nearpod and Seesaw.
This resource includes:
-7 printable sorts (ar, or, ar/or, er, ir, ur, er/ir/ur)
-Google slide version of all 7 sorts
-JPEG images of each sort
This is a part of a bundle that includes short vowels and vowel teams and can be found here >>Real and Nonsense Sort Bundle
