The free printable sheets in this packet, in three levels of difficulty, are all about life on the World War II home front, those remarkable working women who collectively became known as “Rosie the Riveter,” and the non-traditional jobs they filled.
These word search puzzles can be used as stand-alone activities, but they will be most effective when coordinated with the nonfiction A-Z picture book, R is for Rosie the Riveter, by Frances Tunnell Carter (who actually worked as a riveter during the war) and Nell Carter Branum (a former elementary school librarian).
Find the book now in my Teachers Pay Teachers store on the right! Or search on “Nell Branum” or “R is for Rosie the Riveter,” and get started helping your students meet Rosie the Riveter from A to Z!
Solutions for all three puzzles are included.
