When students don't know how to start, they don't. Plus, the writing quality suffers. This method provides concrete steps for students to follow while answering questions. The RACE strategy builds confidence when answering text-dependent analysis questions and citing text evidence from reading passages.

ONE LESSON IS INCLUDED! You'll feel confident introducing the strategy and presenting the differentiated lesson to your class. Complete directions and a differentiated example passage are included. The sample text passage is provided in 2 levels - choose the level your students need or differentiate it for individual students.

Need sentence starters - answer stems? Perfect.
