This RACED Constructed Response Poster will assist students to attack compose a thorough response to a question asking for citations from the text. RACED is an acronym students can remember that represents steps to writing their response to a question. R stands for Restate the question, A for Answer the question, C for Cite evidence from text, E for Explain your evidence and how it supports your answer, and D for Don't forget a concluding sentence. This poster includes an exemplar response answering a question that asks for evidence from the text. Sentences are color coded so students can reflect back to that specific concept in the RACED key legend. This strategy supports the Common Core State Standards.
