I have created this resource to help your students respond to short response questions. I create a bulletin board to remind my student exactly how to respond to short response questions. I have included different sizes of each letter along with different sizes of the definition of each letter.
I have included two anchor charts that we used to model this strategy. I used my Inference Task Cards
to model how a response is written. After, I modeled a card, we did one together as a class. After we finished, students were working independently on their RADD Responses with their task cards. I had students underline their response in green, their answer in orange and their details in pink.
For each student, I print the mini RADD cards on Astrobrites and have the students slide them into their Target Adhesive small pockets on their desks. As they write their short responses, they use their Expo markers to cross off the R,A,D, and D. This helps students know what they have left to do or to know they have completed all of the steps! When they get to a new question, they simply erase their pocket and start again!
