This graph allows you to track your students fluency progress over time.
I always measure fluency in a 'hot' read. This means the student has read the text before and knows all the words. The rate of progress the student makes should be noticeable over 6 months. I measure my students over 3 months because they are on intervention programs with targeted skills, so I need to know if my program is working.
Students also love to graph their own progress. The Year Levels are nominal and an indication only. The fluency rate will vary between the beginning and end of year.
