These reading reminders bookmarks give readers tips for interpreting what they read. The tips (rely on background knowledge, use context clues, look for cognates, and "when you get stuck...") give examples of how students can help themselves to overcome reading comprehension struggles in order to push themselves to higher proficiency levels.
I copied these (3 to a page) on cardstock and laminated them. Students take them out whenever we have sustained silent reading or guided reading activities. The reinforce skills that will be useful in all interpretive reading tasks--both inside and outside of the WL classroom.
