I AM SUPER EXCITED ABOUT THIS!!! At last, reading strategy cards – with visual clues! I use these in my class to introduce a strategy during mini-lessons. After introducing, I put that particular strategy up permanently for all to use as a reference. Each strategy goes on my “what good readers do” board under 4 headings (comprehension, fluency, accuracy, and expand vocabulary) which I’ve included. I’ve color-coded these so you’ll know which belongs where. Many could go 2 places but I’ve put it where I thought it worked best. You wouldn’t believe how many times I refer back to this board. The language is so catchy even my kinders use it. So fun to hear them use words like schema, infer, comprehension, etc. Use the ones that apply to your grade level!
Would so appreciate your feedback! E-mail me at email@example.com with questions or comments.
