Have you taught your students to determine the differences between fiction and nonfiction text? Now is the time to have them practice reading those different types of text, noting the genres they prefer while engaging them with new types of books. While you are conferring with students one-on-one, or working with small groups of students, your class will be working on independent reading with this tracker to guide their decisions. Students can earn a "READO" (Bingo) or blackout, depending on the time and scope of reading you are encouraging them to pursue.
