Respect ~ It’s the Right Thing to Do! ~ A Literacy Packet Focusing on Respect ~ Character Education
This activity packet is a combination of Character Education and Literacy. I made this little unit for my class because they needed a quick refresher course on respecting others. The activities are intended to be used after you have already introduced the topic of respect. I added in a few literacy activities that can be used throughout the week during center time for continued practice.
This Respect packet includes:

Page 2: This is a little poem I made to be read and discussed with the children.
Page 3: Your children can make an acrostic poem of their own.
Page 4: Writing page on Respecting Others
Page 5: Children are to decide if the sentences provided are examples of respect or disrespect and paste them in the correct column.
Page 6: Writing page on Respecting Living Things and the Earth
Page 7: Children cut, order, and paste the words into a complete sentence about respect. They then write the sentence and draw a picture to illustrate the sentence.

Great activities to use when discussing differences in Social Studies class or with your lesson on Martin Luther King, Jr., too!
