These 16 task cards can be used for stations, centers, guided reading practice, an assessment or ticket out the door, review, a game, or independent practice! 6 of the informational passages are about the early American Indians in order to maximize your instructional time and integrate Social Studies with reading. Two birds with one stone - yes! There are three different answer sheet options because I like to scaffold and challenge my students. One offers multiple choice, one offers just fill-in- the-blank, and one asks the students to explain how they got their answer using clue/signal words. If you don't teach American Indians, don't worry, it's generic enough that you can use as any other informational text and there are 10 others that are non-content based.
