This set contains three PDF PowerPoint Presentations that introduce ten of the non-fiction text features and teach students how to identify these non-fiction text features. There are also three different worksheets included for independent work - two of these have a higher option included as well.
The non-fiction text features introduced in this set include: (PowerPoint One): Headings, index, bold words, photographs, diagrams, (PowerPoint Two): captions, labels, table of contents, glossary, map and PowerPoint Three is a review of all ten.
This set aligns with part of the Informational Text Common Core Standard RI.1.5 - the identification part of the standard. I have other products available for using the non-fiction text features so please check those out if you need them.
The actual PowerPoints were too big to include but the PDF versions can still be used as a PowerPoint - email me if you need instructions on how!
