If you are looking for a fun way to have your students practice RI.3.8 while still holding all students accountable, this cooperative learning activity is exactly what you need!
Students will read the non-fiction texts about the history of the Peanut Butter and Jelly Sandwich. After reading each text, students will work in with their teammates to answer the questions. Each teammate will have 30 seconds to share their response. Once the entire team agrees that it is an acceptable response, the team will record that answer. Then the next teammate will share.This will continue until each teammate has shared their thoughts and the entire group has many different ideas/responses written down on their recording sheet. Answer keys have been provided for each passage/set of questions.
