This lesson introduces and teaches CCS RL 3.6: Distinguish their own point of view from that of the narrator or those of the characters.
This lesson teaches the concept that characters in the story do have a point of view, and our own point of view can be different. Students are given passages and have to identify the point of view of the characters, and then write how their point of view is different. Most slides contain sentence frames to assist ELL's and for academic discourse throughout the lesson.
This lesson includes a PowerPoint that introduces and teaches the concept, as well as worksheets that allow students to engage and write during the lesson.
