RL.1.4 Using the 5 senses to suggest feeling

RL.1.4 Using the 5 senses to suggest feeling
Product Description
This graphic organizer is a great resource to use during literacy rotations. As students read their leveled books the supporting organizer will help student track words and phrases in stories or poems that suggest feeling or appeal to the senses.

The organizer first asks the student a 'knowledge question.' The instructional goal of the knowledge question is to have the student recall basic information and facts before attempting the content standard. (Knowledge Question: Ask your brain- What are the five senses?)

The organizer then asks the student a 'skills question.' The skills question insures that the student can apply knowledge of the text to reason. (Skills Question: Ask you brain- How does the author use words and phrases in a story or poem that tell me how something looks, sounds, tastes, feels, or smells?)

Additionally, this organizer is a great teacher resource. It helps guide the lesson by stating how 'good readers' use this standard to build comprehension.

Hope you enjoy! Thank you for purchasing!
