PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

RL.3.1 Answering Questions is a novel study and skills unit in one! Six one-page texts, each differentiated for three reading levels, tell the entire tale of The Velveteen Rabbit. Corresponding resources teach third grade students to construct responses to open-ended questions. Students learn to find evidence in text, refer to the text, write a topic sentence, support with detail sentences, and conclude.

Texts for direct instruction, independent practice, and assessment have been written at three reading levels: advanced, average, and low. This differentiation allows you to reach all students in your class with one lesson. The engaging passages, sequenced to provide an ongoing story for the students, were adapted from The Velveteen Rabbit*, by Margery Williams.

All reading passages are included in this product. If you would like to purchase only the differentiated reading passages, click here.
