Product Description
Students will listen to a song and create a visual representation of what they hear. The idea behind this "Roll Out" is very simple but students will reach deep into high thinking skills to accomplish the final product. Every sound that they hear is recorded using small icons or symbols. As the project evolves, the end product is a masterpiece, something they will treasure for years!

(This project might take you three 50 minute lessons. Great for something fun at the end of the year. It is recommended that songs chosen for this project are short and simple, especially for younger students.)


Music: Students will create a visual representation of sound and explore rhythm, pitch, timbre and dynamics in all of their experiences with sound. (Students will also identify beat in music and other sounds)

Art: Students will listen to a song, describe what they hear and eventually create a visual representation of events following a logical order using drawing materials.
