Everything you need to teach Romoe and Juliet!
Anticipatory activities, vocabulary, Analysis of text, essay topics, and even a competitive game to build interest and review. I plan units from the culminating activity [usually an essay] backwards, so most, if not all, of the activities that guide students into and through the literature are also preparing them for the final product.
Once students discover this pattern, they are more careful in their execution of the analytical activities that lead them through the literature.
It helps keep us moving, rather than wallowing in the richness of every theme and character, a turnoff for many students.
It also helps to gear your study to the strengths and abilities of a class. You can see that some of the activities which take them back to the text for quotes are actually the structure of the essay.
