Expand Your Vocabulary Full Workbook.
The 6 Part Learning Process
In Part 1 students read a short text containing 10 target words.
In Part 2 students define the target words using a traditional or online dictionary.
In Part 3 students associate a synonym and antonym for each target word using the words provided in the word bank.
In Part 4 students identify the word which is closest in meaning to the target word among a series of three words.
In Part 5 students insert the proper target word in the corresponding sentence.
In Part 6 it is finally time for students to show that they have mastered the words. Here, students write their own sentences with each of the 10 words being sure to provide a context clue which demonstrates their understanding target vocabulary.
It's a fun and easy way to learn new words. Students and teachers are sure to enjoy this quiet and independent learning activity - perfect for Friday afternoon classes!
Assign directly to Google Classroom or have your students complete the work entirely online using the EASLE ACTIVITY!
