RTI September Letter Naming Fluency ~ LNF
This RTI pack is a great way to help with the LNF (Letter Naming Fluency) portion of Dibels. It helps students to quickly name each of the letters in the alphabet as well as match lower and uppercase letters while differentiating between all 26 letters.
There are 7 hands on activities that are great for either centers or small group time. They include...
*Worming Your Way Into Letters ~ In this activity students find the correct letter on a worm to fill in the missing letter on the apple. There is a recording sheet included with this activity.
*Don't Spill the Apples ~ This activity is a fun and great way to help improve identification and speed of letters. Students use letter cards as they play the naming game and identify the letters. But...they have to look out for the "Apple Spill" card!
*Hidden Letter Pictures ~ There are two apple scenes with hidden letters. One has the capital letters and one has lowercase letters. Students use a magnifying glass to locate each of the 26 letters. As they locate them, they can record their findings on a recording sheet:)
*Memory ~ Who doesn't love the old fashion memory game? This activity has some cute apple cards that students use to match the uppercase and lowercase letters.
*Roll and Read a Row ~ There is a pattern in this activity to create some dice as well as cards with rows of different letters. Students roll the dice and name the letters on the row with the same picture of the dice. Students can use a timer to work on speed of naming the letters!
*Apple Tree Match ~ Students take turns choosing apples with letters on them and matching them to the correct lettered apple tree. Who can fill their apple tree up first???
*Puzzle Match ~ Students use puzzles to find and fit together the upper and lowercase letters.
LOTS of fun September activities to increase students' letter naming skills!!!!!
