In this adorable book by Oliver Jeffers, a little boy goes to his door one day and is surprised to find a penguin. He asks around his neighborhood and doesn't find anyone who knows who the penguin belongs to. The story goes on to describe their trip to the South Pole and a friendship that forms between the two main characters.
This story is language rich with vocabulary words and social language opportunities that are easy to address in at least three different 30 minute speech groups.
