This race car themed set of touch dot math posters (0-9) includes a full page size set of number posters and a mini set (2 per page) of number posters. It will make a great addition to any race car themed classroom!
Touch dot numbers provide students with a simple strategy for basic math computation. As an interventionist, I used touch dots with all of my RTI math groups K-5. Now, as a 4th grade classroom teacher, I use touch dots with my students who struggle with basic math facts. My students love touch dots because they are still able to use counting strategies to solve addition, subtraction, multiplication and division problems, but they aren't embarrassed by having to use their fingers!
When adding numbers, students count forward using the circles on the numbers. When subtracting numbers, students count backwards using the circles on the numbers. When multiplying, students skip count forward using the circles on the numbers. When dividing, students skip count backward using the circles on the numbers. No fingers needed. :)
